Vic: Man appears in court following train station incident
A man has faced court following an incident at a train station in Melbourne in which
a wheelchair-bound man plunged from a platform onto the tracks.
AARON WADE AUSTIN, 19, of Sunshine, appeared briefly in Melbourne Magistrates' Court
charged with reckless conduct endangering life and recklessly causing serious injury.
A 24-year-old Coburg man was found strapped in his wheelchair on train tracks at Flinders
Street Station last Friday and had to be rescued by onlookers.
He is recovering in hospital.
Magistrate PETER LAURITSEN has remanded AUSTIN in custody to reappear on September 11.
There was no application for bail.
