QLD: Capricornia MP Kirsten Livermore in pre-selection challenge
BRISBANE, April 16 AAP - Two federal Labor MPs face preselection challenges in Queensland
tomorrow.
Capricornia MP Kirsten Livermore faces a challenge for the Rockhampton-based seat from
Greg Clair, a training and employment consultant.
Con Sciacca also faces the vote of Labor colleagues in his attempt to switch to the
new seat of Bonner in Brisbane's east following a redistribution that left his former
seat of Bowman marginally Liberal.
His challenger is union official Tom Schultz.
A spokesman for Ms Livermore said today she was confident she would be returned based
on her work record as an MP for the seat.
The results of the preselection votes should be known by early tomorrow evening.
