FED: Researcher says health inequality worsening

A leading international health researcher says people who achieve success and wealth
through their own efforts are healthier than less successful people born into wealth.
Professor MICHAEL MARMOT's study of British Civil Servants shows that health and longevity
increase with an employee's success rather than depending on rich or poor backgrounds.

However, there is a hitch.

Prof MARMOT says while career success appears to determine much of a person's health, the
person's background may determine to a large part the person's career prospects.
