ANDERSON TO INTERVIEW MONDAY IN MEMPHIS

Montgomery County schools Superintendent Tiffany Anderson is slated to interview for Memphis City Schools' top job Monday afternoon, according to documents posted on that school system's Web site.
Anderson said earlier this week she applied for that city's superintendent's job because her husband, who is from Memphis, is exploring work closer to his family.
Anderson, one of five finalists for the Memphis job, said she has also applied for the head position of Alexandria City Public Schools in Virginia, according to a questionnaire she filled out to apply for the Memphis job.
Memphis City Schools posted the five finalists' applications on its Web site this week.
In her documents, Anderson told Memphis school officials she expects she'd be available to begin work July 1.
"I have not applied to any positions prior to the two recent opportunities in cities he's interested in," Anderson wrote in an e- mail to The Roanoke Times.
Anderson declined to say whether she is a finalist for that job, and a spokeswoman for the Alexandria schools said finalists name would not be released.
Anderson came to Montgomery County in 2005 from Rockwood School District in St. Louis, where she was assistant superintendent for student services. In August, the Montgomery County School Board extended her contract through 2010.
