Fed: NAB says it has shelved proposed fee hikes

CANBERRA, Jan 18 AAP - National Australia Bank (NAB) tonight rejected claims that leaked
documents showed the bank intended charging for all ATM and cheque withdrawals on accounts
under $20,000.
The bank admitted fee changes had been considered but said it had cancelled them due
to possible confusion with the introduction of the GST this year.
Channel Nine said tonight it had obtained documents showing NAB intended implementing
the charges from April 1.
